Welcome to the Port of San Diego’s online FY23 Civic Event Program sponsorship portal. Your completion of this form will ensure that the Port staff has the information necessary to efficiently review and verify your organization’s data. 

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS

  • Only Port Member City applicants in consultation with their Port Commissioner or Commissioner-authorized non-profit may apply for the Civic Event Program sponsorship for FY23 events.
  • Civic Events are free of an admission charge to attend and are open to all ages. Minimum Projected Attendance 500+
  • Civic Events must occur on the Port tidelands.
  • Submittal of a Civic Event Program application does not guarantee the requested date and/or venue location.
    Nor does the submittal imply automatic approval of your event.

SPONSORSHIP FUNDING

Sponsorship funding levels were established by the Board of Port Commissioners for the FY23 Civic Event Program in the Port's operating budget. Civic-sponsored events must occur between July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2023. Each member city in consultation with their Port Commissioner or a Commissioner-authorized non-profit applicant producing an event on Port tidelands in a Port member city may apply for sponsorship. Sponsorship funding and fee waivers may be requested for a single event or be divided among several events.

Registered users may work on their submittals in multiple sessions and the responses are periodically saved to the cloud. A system-generated email will be sent to applicants upon successfully verifying their application data; ensure receipt of the confirmation email and retain a hard copy to acknowledge your verification data was received by the deadline. The Port of San Diego is not responsible for verification submittals or applications that are incomplete or were not received due to technical issues.
